Anantnag Sept 09: Chief Spokesperson DPAP Salman Nizami, today announced that the party’s chairman, Ghulam Nabi Azad who had been unwell, has now recovered and is set to begin his election campaign from September 12th. The campaign will include a series of public meetings in key constituencies such as Devsar, Anantnag, Dooru, Qazigund, and Doda. “Our agenda is only development and peace,” said Nizami while addressing the public in Bul Bul Nowgam. “The DPAP is committed to bringing positive change and addressing the concerns of the people in these regions. Under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad, we aim to promote a politics of inclusiveness and development. Nizami, who attended a roadshow for DPAP candidate Mir Altaf, urged the public to support the young leader. He said that the party’s focus will be on development, continuing the legacy of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s tenure as Chief Minister and Union Minister. “Our manifesto is built on the achievements of Ghulam Nabi Azad’s development work during his two and a half years as Chief Minister,” he stated. “Other parties have only offered false promises, while our record speaks for itself. They have exploited the people and compromised their mandate.

He highlighted the significant development work accomplished by Ghulam Nabi Azad in Anantnag, including the establishment of a medical college, new districts, schools, and roads. “Our commitment is to continue this massive development drive,” Nizami stated. He questioned the National Conference (NC) and Congress alliance, noting that while Rahul Gandhi recently visited Dooru, he remained silent on Article 370. Nizami questioned the effectiveness of the NC-Congress alliance, citing recent internal conflicts and criticisms, including a senior Congress leader’s remarks against NC founder Sheikh Abdullah. “This alliance appears to be nothing more than a paper arrangement, Where the NC has fielded candidates, on ground Cong is trying to defeat NC, same is with NC, and in friendly contest both the parties are criticising eachother Nizami said. “The infighting and lack of a clear agenda demonstrate that they are merely befooling the masses. In contrast, Ghulam Nabi Azad represents a genuine alternative for progress and stability.”
