NCDRC Member visits Baramulla, Reviews functioning of DCDRC Baramulla

BARAMULLA, MAY 16: Members of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), New Delhi,

Dr. Inder Jeet Singh and Shashi Nandan Keolyar, today visited the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC) Baramulla to review its functioning and assess the consumer grievance redressal mechanism in the district.

President, DCDRC Baramulla, Peerzada Qousar Hussain; Member, Nyla Yaseen; and Registrar National Commission, Iqbal Ahmad accompanied the delegation during the visit.

During the visit, the members reviewed the overall functioning of the Commission and held discussions on the timely disposal of consumer cases, strengthening institutional mechanisms, and ensuring the effective implementation of consumer protection laws.

Later, the delegation visited Dak Bungalow Baramulla, where they interacted with members of the Bar Associations Baramulla-Kupwara and exchanged views on consumer rights, legal awareness, and access to justice.
President Bar Association Baramulla Neelofer Masood and members of the Bar Associations of Baramulla and Kupwara appreciated the visit of the delegation and the continued efforts towards strengthening the consumer dispute redressal system.
