REASI, APRIL 30: A meeting of the District Level Committee under the Narco Coordination Center (NCORD) was convened today under the chairpersonship of District Magistrate Reasi Nidhi Malik here at the DC Office Complex. The meeting aimed to formulate a comprehensive strategy to combat the menace of drug abuse in the district.

The District Magistrate further instructed that participation details of these awareness initiatives be properly and timely uploaded on the official portal for transparency and accountability. She specifically stressed that such awareness programs should be regularly conducted in schools and colleges, with the objective of sensitizing the youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse

The DM directed CMO to ensure that representatives from the Health Department actively participate in the awareness camps to educate the public on the health hazards of drug use.

The Excise Department was asked to ensure the availability of quality testing kits to the Police, Health, and Education Departments. Additionally, the DM instructed the Drug Control Department to carry out regular inspections of pharmacies to ensure adherence to legal regulations and to submit detailed action taken reports to the DC office.
