The rally commenced from the Mini Secretariat Lawns and culminated at Qamaria Park, witnessing enthusiastic participation from officers, students, and members of civil society.

The event was flagged-off by Principal Secretary, Culture, Brij Mohan, in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Sudhanshu Dhama; Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Syed Faheem Bihaqi, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, and other district officers.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal Secretary emphasized that drug abuse destroys families and stressed that the fight against drugs must begin at home.

Highlighting the crucial role of parents in prevention, he urged citizens to report cases of drug abuse or trafficking through the district administration’s helpline. He called for active public participation and reiterated the commitment to make Ganderbal a drug-free district.

Students from various schools and colleges actively participated in the rally, raising slogans and carrying placards to spread awareness.
