BUDGAM, APRIL 20: Deputy commissioner (DC) Budgam Athar Aamir khan today visited Railway Station Nowgam to take stock of the current passenger arrangements and measures being put in place for the smooth movement of the devotees of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2026.
During the visit, the DC undertook a comprehensive inspection of the facilities available and reviewed the preparedness of all line departments. He was briefed by the concerned officers regarding the logistical arrangements, infrastructure readiness, and inter-departmental coordination being ensured for the Yatra.
Emphasizing the significance of seamless arrangements for the yatris, the DC issued a series of directions to ensure efficient passenger management at the station including facilities for accessible boarding and deboarding, traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, washroom facilities, registration facilities etc.
SP West Srinagar Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDM chadoora Primrose Bashir , JD planning Budgam Javeed Ahmad, Tehsildar BK pora , DIO budgam , Executive Engineer R&B , SHO Nowgam and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during his visit.
