KISHTWAR, MAY 15: A comprehensive review meeting regarding the progress of works being executed under the Local Area Development Programme (LADP), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) Plans of the Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kwar and Ratle Hydro Power Projects was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma here in the meeting Hall of the New DC Office Complex.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of the key developmental works being undertaken across the district. These included creation of a 63 MVA, 33/11 KV Receiving Station along with a 33 KV line at Hasti Kishtwar; construction of Veterinary Complex with residential accommodation at Kukerwas, Drabshalla; Development of individual high-density orchards; additional water lifting schemes; renovation of GMS Nagseni and MS Chingnana; upgradation of power distribution infrastructure in tribal areas and several other public welfare projects.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of both the physical and financial progress of ongoing as well as completed works.
Stressing the importance of timely implementation, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments and executing agencies to ensure expeditious completion of projects for the larger benefit of the public.
Officers from the line departments including RDD, Education, Health, Agriculture, Youth Services & Sports, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Municipal Committee, PWD, Jal Shakti, REW RDD, Fire & Emergency Services, JPDCL and other allied departments presented updates on the current status of the works allotted to their respective departments.”Any requirement of funds for priority works shall be brought to the immediate notice to my office for timely intervention and resolution,” he instructed the executing departments.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned executing agencies to submit Technical Sanctions (TS) of the works within stipulated timelines and emphasized fixing accountability in cases of delay.
Stress was laid on accelerating pending works while maintaining quality standards and transparency in implementation.
