SAMBA, OCTOBER 30: The District Sheep Husbandry Officer Samba organized a one-day training and exposure visit for local sheep and goat breeders to the Government Dairy Goat Farm, Rajbagh, Kathua. The event was held under the CSS-ATMA (Agricultural Technology Management Agency) scheme for the year 2024-25.
During the visit, participating farmers were educated on essential aspects of sheep and goat farming, including dosing, vaccination, and effective record-keeping. Emphasis was placed on adopting scientific management practices to enhance farm productivity and income. The training aimed to equip breeders with knowledge of modern, efficient farming techniques for sustainable livestock management.
Additionally, the program provided an opportunity for interaction and knowledge exchange. Farmers from Samba district engaged with experienced sheep and goat breeders from Kathua, sharing insights and best practices in livestock management.
