New Delhi, Jun 23 : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched by India last month in retaliation against the Pahalgam terror attack  that left 26 civilians, mostly tourists dead, achieved all its objectives.

Addressing a gathering at an event held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex here, the Defence Minister, according to the news agency said, “Operation Sindoor achieved all objectives. It also succeeded in injecting fear into the minds of terrorists.”

Pertinently, to avenge the terror attack, India launched “Operation Sindoor” on May 6, 2025, to destroy terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, while security agencies also cracked down on terrorist sympathisers to destroy terror infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.

The strikes carried out by the Indian Air Force deep inside Pakistan and the PoK destroyed nine terrorist camps, following which skirmishes broke out between India and Pakistan armies that continued for 4-days.

The hostilities ended on May 10 after the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) from Pakistan called his counterpart in New Delhi and requested for a ceasefire
