Polytechnic Jammu organises seminar on PM Internship Scheme Pilot Project – 2.0

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 28: The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) IEC outreach Seminar was organised today here in the Auditorium Hall of Government Polytechnic College Bikram Chowk, in coordination with the Directorate of Skill Development J&K. The primary objective of this initiative is to spread awareness about the scheme among the youth of the region.

The event was represented by Registrar of Companies Rajneesh Kumar, who highlighted the key features of the PMIS. He shared the outcomes and success stories from Round 1 and encouraged youth between the ages of 20 to 24 to actively participate in this valuable initiative, which aims to provide exposure and hands-on experience in various sectors.

Additionally, Raj Kumar Koul from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs delivered an informative session on the step-by-step process for registering on the PMIS portal. He also demonstrated how to update profiles and ensure a smooth application process for interested candidates.

The session concluded with an address from the Er. Talet Mahmood Principal Government Polytechnic College Bikram Chowk Jammu, who emphasized the importance of the scheme tailored specifically for the youth. He urged students and young professionals to seize the opportunity and benefit from the scheme, which offers valuable skill development and career advancement prospects.

The Prime Minister Internship Scheme provides a unique platform for the youth to gain practical exposure and enhance their professional skills. It is an excellent opportunity for young individuals to contribute to national development while simultaneously building their career profiles.

Others were present on the event were HODs, staff, and students of Government Polytechnic Jammu, Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu, Government Industrial Training Institute Jammu and Government Women ITI Jammu.
