Rehan Qayoom Mir

Srinagar, Apr 25 : Residents of Pantha Chowk near Chinar Pollution Centre are growing increasingly concerned about a dangerous stretch of road that has witnessed a spate of accidents over the past six months.

Locals have urged the concerned department to address the issue promptly to prevent further mishaps.

Local residents while speaking to the news agency, the condition of the road has become a serious threat to commuters. “We have seen numerous accidents here and it’s only a matter of time before a major tragedy occurs if action isn’t taken,” they said.

a resident Fahim said that potholes and uneven surface make driving on the road a risky affair. “We urge the authorities to prioritize the repair work and ensure the safety of the residents,” he added.

The deteriorating condition of the road has become a topic of concern among locals, who fear for the safety of pedestrians and motorists alike, he added.
