Srinagar, August 12: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha has extended his heartiest congratulations to the University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, NIT Srinagar, IIT Jammu, IIM Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, SKUAST Jammu and SKUAST Kashmir for ranking amongst top most Universities and Institutions of the country in the recently released NIRF Ranking.
The Lt Governor has posted on X:
University of Jammu breaks into the top 50 for the first time in the NIRF ranking (university category) released today by the Ministry of Education, GoI. Congratulations to Vice Chancellor, Prof. Umesh Rai, faculty members and non-teaching staff for this incredible achievement!
I also congratulate Kashmir University, NIT Srinagar, SMVDU, SKUAST-K and SKUAST-J. Kashmir University is also among the top 50 universities in India. NIT Srinagar secured 79th rank, & SMVDU is in the top 40 for architecture.
In agriculture and allied sectors, SKUAST-K and SKUAST-J have also achieved impressive rankings. SKUAST-K secured 10th rank whereas, SKUAST-J secured 20th.
IIT Jammu and IIM Jammu have also been ranked among the top 100 Engineering and Management Institutes, respectively.
