PULWAMA, JUNE 20: District Administration Pulwama today observed PM-KISAN Utsav Divas with the organisation of a special programme at Circuit House Pulwama to mark the release of the 23rd instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
The event was held in synchronisation with the nationwide programme addressed by the Prime Minister.
During the programme, the live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address was screened for the participants. On the occasion, the Prime Minister released the 23rd instalment of PM-KISAN, facilitating the direct transfer of financial assistance into the bank accounts of beneficiary farmers across the country.
The programme witnessed the participation of Chief Agriculture Officer, Pulwama and officers from the Agriculture and allied departments and a large number of beneficiary farmers from different parts of the district.
Farmers on the occasion expressed gratitude over the disbursement of financial assistance under the PM-KISAN scheme and appreciated the Government’s continued efforts towards improving the socio-economic condition of the farming community.
Similar programmes were also organised across various Agriculture Zonal Offices and Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKG) throughout the district, where farmers participated in the live proceedings and received information regarding the benefits and objectives of the PM-KISAN scheme.
