REASI, OCTOBER 31: As part of the nationwide observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)—commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel—Reasi Administration and District Police jointly organized a series of events celebrating the spirit of unity, integrity and national integration.

The day’s proceedings began with a pledge-taking ceremony held at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex. The ceremony was led by Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik, who administered the pledge to officers and officials, reaffirming their collective commitment to uphold the values of national unity, integrity and communal harmony.

Following the ceremony, a “Run for Unity” was organized by the District Administration in collaboration with the District Police, Reasi. The run commenced from the District Police Lines and culminated at the General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, spreading the message of peace, harmony and national integration among participants and the public.

DC Reasi Nidhi Malik flagged off the Unity Run, which saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of officers and officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and District Administration. The event highlighted the district’s collective resolve to strengthen communal harmony and foster national spirit.

Senior officers present on the occasion included SSP Reasi Paramveer Singh, CO IRP 1st Anita Sharma; ADC Sudershan Kumar; ASP Iftkar Ahmed; DySP HQ Vishal Singh Jamwal and other senior officials from the civil and police administration.

She highlighted his historic role in uniting the nation and emphasized that the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas serves as a reminder of his vision of a strong and united India. She also underlined the importance of such initiatives in instilling patriotic values among citizens, particularly the youth.
