REASI, NOVEMBER 15: The District Administration Reasi today celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Divas 2025 with great enthusiasm at the Auditorium of the DC Office Complex, where a large number of participants from tribal communities across the district gathered to mark the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik graced the occasion as chief guest.
The celebrations featured a series of colourful and engaging cultural performances that reflected the district’s rich cultural tapestry. Traditional Gojri dances, skits and Dogri performances captivated the audience and showcased the unity in diversity that defines Reasi. These performances paid tribute to the contributions of tribal communities in preserving and enriching the region’s cultural heritage.
The programme also included the live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address, adding significance to the event as participants listened to the national message commemorating the heroic legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and celebrating tribal pride.
A key feature of the event was the distribution of sanction orders under various schemes of the KVIB, Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, aimed at supporting beneficiaries and strengthening livelihood avenues within the community.
DC Malik who graced the event as the Chief Guest, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusive development and the empowerment of tribal communities. She highlighted various government initiatives aimed at upliftment, welfare and providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to tribal populations.
The event was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Samyal, PO ICDS Sudershan Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, District Prabhari Officer MOTA, Shiv, ACD, CEO and all district and sectoral officers were present.
