Reasi: Outreach camps under DAJGUA continue to empower Tribal Villages on Day 6
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsappTelegram

REASI, JUNE 20: In a sustained push towards ensuring last-mile delivery of public services and welfare schemes, the District Administration Reasi continues to organise mega awareness and saturation outreach camps for tribal communities under the nationwide flagship programme Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).

A detailed 15 day schedule i.e (June 15 to June 30) has been designed to cover 44 tribal villages across 9 blocks of District Reasi, ensuring that no beneficiary is left behind.

On Day 6 of the initiative, camps were held in tribal villages of Baldhanoo, Chaklass, Thanole and other locations across 9 blocks of the district.

The programme aims to empower tribal communities by increasing awareness and ensuring saturation of government schemes at the grassroots level.

A wide array of government departments — including Health, Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Mission POSHAN and Forest — set up dedicated stalls at the outreach venues to provide on-the-spot services and assistance.

The Government functionaries actively engaged with community members, addressing their concerns and offering assurances of continued support and coordination for the effective implementation of the government programmes.

As part of the initiative, essential documents and benefits — including Domicile Certificates, Ayushman Bharat Cards, Birth Certificates, and other entitlements — were provided to beneficiaries, underscoring the government’s focus on inclusive welfare delivery.

The camps are witnessing significant turnout and a notable rise in enrolments under various welfare schemes. Special health camps organised by the Health Department provided free diagnostic services, consultations, and focused health awareness sessions.

The initiative received an overwhelming response from tribal residents, who lauded the administration’s efforts to deliver critical services directly to their doorsteps.
