Recruiting Agencies Granted One-Time Exemption On Wait Lists

Srinagar, Feb 28 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government led by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Wednesday granted exemption to the recruiting agencies for creation of waiting lists.

As per the details available with, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, utilizing powers under the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, has granted a one-time exemption to the recruiting agencies, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection to create wait lists for selection lists issued after 07.09.2023.

The exemption, as per details, valid for six months comes with certain conditions, which include ensuring the wait lists are drawn within the validity period of the select list and that resultant vacancies, due to selected candidates not joining, have not been re-advertised.

The move is expected to enhance the efficiency of the recruitment process and will allow the recruiting agencies to manage waiting lists effectively within a specified time frame.
