Jammu: – The *”Har Ki Pauri”* (*Chhota Haridwar*) temple built on the banks of the Surya Putri Tawi river in Jammu, the city of temples, is being affected by illegal mining, the religious sentiments of the devotees are being hurt, this is stated by Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni said.
Party state chief Manish Sahni, in a media briefing at party office  today, issued a warning to the illegal mining mafia active in the Surya Putri Tawi river to refrain from this illegal business.
Sahni said that as soon as information was received about the said illegal act, a team under his leadership visited  the grand “Har Ki Pauri” temple day before yesterday. He found that the flow of water of the Tawi river near “Har Ki Pauri” is being affected due to illegal mining near the Tawi river and the temple.  Due to the dryness near the stairs, the religious sentiments of thousands of devotees and religious tourists coming here are being hurt. Sahni told that the Mahant of the temple, Shri Mahadev Saraswati ji is also very angry about illegal mining near the temple. He has to spend 20-25 thousand rupees every month to divert the flow of water towards the temple with the help of JCB. Along with this, the condition of the roads coming towards Har Ki Pauri is very pathetic. He also raised questions on the deployment of a few security personnel for the security of the temple located on the outskirts of the city and on the banks of the Tawi river. Sahni, while demanding complete control from the administration, said in a warning tone that he will not tolerate any act that hurts religious sentiments, if the illegal mining active in the Surya Putri Tawi river is not stopped, then Shiv Sainiks will take action on it in their own way and during this time the administration will be responsible for the deterioration of law and order. On this occasion president mehila wing Meenakshi Chhibber ,Gen secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice president Sanjeev Kohli, Secretary Rajesh Handa were present.
