Jammu, Mar 04 : Blaming Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for J&K losing statehood, scrapping of Article 370 and unemployment, Education Minister and senior National Conference (NC) leader, Sakeena Itoo on Tuesday said that the people have rejected the party for “betraying” them.

Talking to reporters in the premises of Legislative Assembly complex here, Itoo, as per the news agency said, “People will never repose their trust in PDP again. In the recent elections, people have reduced their number to just three MLAs.”

She said, “People gave two chances to PDP one in 2002 and another in 2014 but on both the occasions party betrayed their trust.”

The Minister said, “People are regretting giving chances to the PDP. The party is responsible for the mess Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing.”

Referring to the health sector in the Union Territory, Itoo said, “There is dearth of doctors and paramedical staff, but the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been taking every possible measure to ensure better healthcare facilities to the people.”

“The previous regime remained confined to laying foundation stones and cutting ribbons, however, what we have achieved in the last three months, they (previous government) would not have done it in ten years,” she said
