SAMBA, JANUARY 03: The Office of Assistant Director Handloom Samba organized a comprehensive awareness camp today at Block Rajpura, focusing on promotion of sustainable livelihoods and women empowerment through various departmental initiatives and schemes.

The event was honored by the distinguished presence of MLA Ramgarh Dr. Devinder Manyal. He reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting local artisans and promoting traditional handloom sectors. The gathering was further enriched by the participation of Asha Rani, DDC member, Niharika, (Assistant Director Handloom) and Ekshu Sharma (Assistant Director Handicrafts).

The awareness camp served as a vital platform to disseminate information about departmental schemes and initiatives designed to boost the handloom sector while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities, particularly women. The program highlighted the government’s continued efforts to preserve and promote traditional crafts while adapting them to contemporary market demands.

During the event, participants received detailed information about various governmental schemes, support systems, and opportunities available for artisans and craftspeople in the region. The initiative aligns with the broader vision of economic empowerment and skill development in the handloom sector.
