KATHUA, MAY 29: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, a preparatory meeting was convened today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua Vishavjeet Singh, here in the Conference Hall of DC Office complex.

The meeting was attended by the Nodal Officer for Lodgement Centres established at different locations of the Kathua to accommodate yatris.

The deliberations centered on finalizing the logistic arrangements, ensuring availability of basic amenities, and streamlining coordination for the smooth conduct of the Yatra.

During the meeting, the ADC informed that the capacities of all 36 Lodgement Centres have been finalized and communicated to the respective Nodal Officers. For efficient communication and real-time coordination, a dedicated WhatsApp group has been created involving all key stakeholders. It was further directed that all Nodal Officers shall conduct immediate inspections to verify the status of essential amenities such as safe drinking water, electricity, toilet facilities, and cleanliness at the identified lodgement centres.

The ADC issued clear instructions to submit status reports by tomorrow evening, highlighting any deficiencies or urgent requirements. He emphasized that any gaps must be promptly flagged and addressed, enabling the administrative teams to ensure timely provisioning of all necessary arrangements.

The ADC impressed upon all the stakeholders to remain proactive with their responsibilities to facilitating a safe, clean, and hassle-free pilgrimage experience for the yatris during SANJY-2025.

CPO Kathua Ranjit Thakur, ACD Akhil Sadotra and other district and sectoral officers were also present.
