DODA, FEBRUARY 19:- An awareness camp was organized by the Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women team during their visit to a Handmade Textile and Embroidery Training Centre run by the District Employment and Counselling Centre Doda.
The visit aimed to interact with trainees and assess the ongoing skill development activities being conducted for women in traditional crafts.
During the visit, the Sankalp team generated awareness on various women-centric government schemes and informed participants about opportunities to avail skill training under different government initiatives.
Special emphasis was laid on training and entrepreneurship programmes conducted through Rural Self
Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), highlighting avenues for women to enrol in free skill development courses and receive support for establishing their own ventures. The team motivated participants to focus on skill enhancement, self-reliance and financial independence.
Trainees were encouraged to upgrade their embroidery and textile skills, explore market linkages and effectively utilize available government support systems to become successful entrepreneurs.
The programme concluded with an interactive session wherein participants shared their experiences and sought clarifications regarding training opportunities and benefits under various schemes.
