JAMMU, MAY 1: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Sports, Satish Sharma, has extended heartfelt greetings to the workers across the nation, acknowledging their vital contributions to India’s growth and progress.

Speaking at a function organized to celebrate the Labour Day at Jammu, the Minister emphasized the significance of the occasion stating, “Labour Day is a reminder that the strength of our nation lies in the dedication, perseverance, and hard work of its people. Our workers, across all sectors, are the backbone of our economy and the drivers of our progress.”

The Minister reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment towards ensuring fair wages, safe and dignified working conditions and greater access to social security for all the workers.

Satish Sharma also highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the government to promote skill development, generate employment opportunities and introduce labour reforms aimed at empowering the youth and protecting the rights of workers.

As we mark this important day, he said, “let us recognize the dignity of labour in every form and renew our pledge to build a future where every worker is respected, supported and given equal opportunity to thrive.”
