Speaking on the occasion, Minister. Satish Sharma said, “Sports plays a vital role in strengthening the bonds of our society. Events like this Diwali celebration reflect the true spirit of Jammu and Kashmir, where people come together in harmony and health”. He added that Sports unites us beyond differences and serves as a foundation for peace and progress.

The Minister further said that the government remains committed to enhancing sports facilities to ensure that more young people find inspiration and opportunity through them. He announced that similar community-based programs will continue to be organized to reinforce the message of peace, inclusion, and youth empowerment through sports.

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Secretary YSS appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders in building an inclusive and supportive sports ecosystem across J&K. “The participation of athletes, coaches, and staff in this festival highlights how sports act as a bridge between communities.
