RAMBAN, MAY 15: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gool and Nodal Officer Mission YUVA Imtiaz Ahmed today chaired a review meeting to assess the functioning of the Business Help Desk (BHD) and review progress achieved under Mission YUVA in the subdivision.
The meeting was attended by Bank Managers of J&K Bank branches across the jurisdiction, SDAO Agriculture, AEO Agriculture, BPM NRLM, YUVA Doots, Motivators and BHD staff.
A detailed review of sanction and disbursement cases under Mission YUVA was undertaken. The key performance indicators related to the functioning of BHD were also discussed in detail to evaluate progress and identify areas requiring focused attention.
Interacting with the BHD staff, Motivators and YUVA Doots, the SDM stressed the need to enhance the number of new applications under the scheme and ensure timely disposal of pending cases with banks. He emphasized the importance of strengthened coordination between BHDs and banking institutions for expeditious processing of cases.
He also directed the concerned officials to ensure the regular conduct of Udyam Jagriti programmes to create awareness among unemployed youth regarding self-employment opportunities available under Mission YUVA.
The SDM further instructed for holding weekly review meetings of BHDs, effective coordination with YUVA Doots and quarterly review meetings involving bank officials, DPMs, Motivators and YUVA Doots to monitor implementation and ensure timely achievement of targets.
Special emphasis was laid on conducting capacity-building programmes for all left-out beneficiaries so that they become eligible for subsidy release and are able to avail benefits under the scheme.
The meeting concluded with all stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to work in close coordination for the effective implementation of Mission YUVA and to further strengthen employment generation and self-employment opportunities for youth in the subdivision.
