UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 6: J&K KVIB organized District level awareness progamme at Tehsil Latti of District Udhampur under the Chairmanship of Secretary/CEO J&K KVIB, Dr. Jagdish Chander Mehra to aware/sensitize the unemployed youth.
The programme was also attended by Dy. CEO J&K KVIB Jammu Division, District Officer Udhampur, public representatives and large number of unemployed youth of the area.
Speaking on the occasion Secretary J&K KVIB enjoyed upon the budding entrepreneurs to harvest the opportunities being provided by the government schemes by establishing self-employment ventures.
He informed that schemes being implemented by J&K KVIB viz Prime Minister’s Employment Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) provides financial assistance up to fifty lacs in manufacturing sector and twenty lacs under Service sector to beneficiaries having qualification of 8th pass to establish their self-employment generating units.
Elaborating the schemes of the KVIB in detail, the Dy CEO Jammu Division, Tilak Raj informed the unemployed/prospective entrepreneurs how to apply for financial assistance under PMEGP and JKREGP and other modalities required in the process.
