Jammu: Seven people were injured on Thursday when a private vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Rajouri district, officials said.
They said the Eeco vehicle (JK11F-4374) fell into gorge near Mehar-Gali Kandi this morning, leading to the injuries to seven people. Soon after the accidents, they said, locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted them to a local health facility.
The injured have been identified as Basharat Ahmad (40), his wife Guddi Begum (35), their daughter Mehreen Koser (14), Dilshad (13) son of Mohammad Manjoor, Mohammad Suleman, Gulnaz Akhter (17) and Saida Tabassum(50). Four patients have been referred to GMC Rajouri for specialized treatment while three others are admitted in Community Health Centre. A police officer confirmed the accident to GNS and said that a case has been registered. (GNS)
