KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 26: Government Degree College Ramkote organized a Health Check up/Medical camp for college staff and students as part of Sewa Parv.
The camp was organised in collaboration with Government Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Ramkote and under the patronage of the Principal of the College Dr Rakesh Kumar Koul. The principal welcomed the team of doctors for organising the medical camp in the college.
The medical camp witnessed overwhelming response from all female students of the college who availed the health check up and were scrutinised for Anaemia and Hypertension symptoms. Along with basic check-up, haemoglobin level was also tested and the females found anaemic and hypertensive were given proper health advice and medication. The initiative was also part of Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, a nationwide health initiative inaugurated by Prime Minister Narender Modi.
The Camp culminated with a brief lecture by Dr. Neetu Rajwal, Medical Officer on Anaemia, its causes, prevention and cure. She advised the participants to take care of their nutrition as females strengthen the families and contribute in building a Sashakt Bharat.
A total of 52 students and 2 female faculty members participated and got their vitals checked. The principal of the college thanked the team of Ayushman Arogaya Mandir and presented a memento to Dr. Neetu Rajwal as a token of gratitude for organising a medical camp in the college.
