REASI, SEPTEMBER 26: The spirit of Sewa Parv 2025 continued with full vigor in District Reasi on the tenth day, as a series of activities were organized under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik.

The Municipal Committee Reasi organized the “Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath” cleanliness drive at Ward No. 1 (Eidgah surroundings), followed by a plantation drive after clearing a legacy waste site in the same ward. Door-to-door awareness under PMAY 2.0 (Angikaar Campaign) was also conducted, along with an awareness-cum-enforcement drive on the ban of single-use plastic. Additionally, street vendors were sensitized about the PM SVANidhi scheme.

Under Sewa Parv, the Department of Social Welfare Reasi – Child Helpline/Child Helpdesk organized an awareness program on Child Rights and the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan at High School Cambal Danga.

Similarly, the Tehsil Social Welfare Office Reasi conducted an awareness camp at Panchayat Chinkah, Block Thakrakote, assisting people in applying for welfare schemes such as pensions, marriage assistance, and scholarships.

The SANKALP – Hub for Empowerment of Women, Reasi, in collaboration with the Agriculture and Police Departments, organized awareness programmes at Panchayat Kotli Manotian-B on organic farming, water conservation, sustainable practices, and the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.

The School Education Department carried forward the message of service by holding a community donation drive for books, clothes, and toys for underprivileged students. A total of 803 schools actively participated, with 48,983 students contributing to this noble cause.

Further, the Rural Development Department (RDD) organized cleanliness drives in all Swachh Bharat Mission assets and government buildings across the district, reaffirming the commitment towards a clean and sustainable environment.

In addition, other departments also actively participated — the CSC organized digital literacy camps, while the Health Department conducted health screening camps, among other activities.

The district-wide participation reflected the collective resolve of government departments, institutions, and students in upholding the spirit of service and community welfare during Sewa Parv 2025.
