REASI, OCTOBER 01: Marking the 15th day of the ongoing Sewa Parv, the District Reasi witnessed a series of impactful initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability, education, sanitation and skill development.

The Municipal Council Reasi organized an extensive plantation drive at the MRF site, Nambla. Under the green colony initiative, a plantation drive was also conducted in Ward No. 2, which is being developed as a model Green Colony. Alongside, a door-to-door awareness campaign was carried out under PMAY 2.0 (Angikaar) focusing on housing entitlements and the importance of waste segregation, thereby encouraging active community participation for a cleaner and greener Reasi.

The School Education Department Reasi organized seminars to sensitize teachers and senior students, encouraging them to volunteer for Adult Literacy Classes in nearby communities, reinforcing the importance of inclusive education.

The Rural Development Department conducted Advocacy and IEC campaigns highlighting the guidelines of Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin (SBM-G) and mobilizing people towards improved sanitation practices in rural areas.

Further, the Animal Husbandry Department Reasi organized a Skill Development and Capacity Building Programme at Kun Drorian, focusing on enhancing knowledge and practical expertise of farmers and livestock rearers to strengthen rural livelihoods.
