Jammu:- Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit announces support to Congress candidates on both Lok Sabha seats of Jammu division.
In a press conference held today at the party’s central office, state president Manish Sahni said that under a well-planned strategy, our leaders are being kept away from the party’s expansion and promotion by not providing security.
Sahni said that he has always raised his voice for the rights of the local people. He constantly reminded the BJP government at the Center of its promises to return the state status, safe return of Kashmiri Pandits, and restoration of peace.
Along with this, Jammu and Kashmir was demanding protection of its cultural identity under Section 371 and reservation in employment and education for the local people. Sahni said that he considers free electricity and water to be the right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and has been continuously talking to the streets against government orders like installation of smart electricity meters, increase in electricity bills, property tax, toll plaza, water bills and in favor of the demands of temporary employees. Perhaps the result of that is that our leaders are being treated step-motherly by not providing security.
Sahni said that keeping in mind the safety of the party leaders, the party high command has given instructions not to field candidates on both the seats of Jammu division.
Sahni said that Congress’s declared candidates for Jammu and Kathua-Udhampur, Raman Bhalla, Chaudhary Lal Singh
have always raised it’s voice for  the rights of the local people. He declares full support to these leaders.
All the district units, workers and supporters of the state have been instructed to vote and campaign in their favor. On this occasion president mehila wing Meenakshi Chhibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, secretary Rajesh Handa were present.
