SRINAGAR, MAY 01: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation today issued a clarification in response to the news item published by a local English daily titled, ‘Despite relocation, vendor chaos prevails at Children Hospital Bemina’.
In an official statement issued here, it has been given out that there is no vending zone in the vicinity of Children Hospital Bemina. Regrettably, street vendors frequently encroach upon both the road and footpaths leading to the hospital, which significantly inconveniences patients and visitors alike.
Nevertheless, it’s imperative to emphasize the proactive measures undertaken by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation’s anti-encroachment team. Their timely interventions are instrumental in clearing these footpaths and roads, albeit the recurring nature of the issue, read the statement.
