SRINAGAR, APRIL 04: The Authorities of Government SMHS Hospital Srinagar today rebutted the recent video clip recorded at the Emergency Gate of Govt. SMHS Hospital Srinagar by some freelance/self styled journalists regarding Road Traffic Accident (RTA) brought to the hospital that went viral on social media on 02 April, 2024.

An official statement issued in this connection mentioned that the Road Traffic Accident (RTA) brought to SMHS Hospital Srinagar was immediately admitted in the Neurosurgery Ward of the Hospital.

As per the reports from Head of the Department Neurosurgery, the patient is brain dead. Since all ICU beds at SMHS Hospital were already occupied, the patient was shifted to Super Specialty Hospital and put on a ventilator in the ICU of the Hospital, where a full-fledged Department of Neurosurgery is functional too.

The patient is being managed in the ICU of Super Specialty Hospital under the close and watchful supervision of Departments of Neurosurgery and Anesthesiology, read the statement.

It was further alleged that the clip was made viral on social media by some freelance/self styled journalists in order to sensationalize it to meet their nefarious designs against this prestigious Institution without any knowledge of the case.
