REASI JANUARY 24: Department of Social Welfare Reasi celebrated National Girl Child Day 2025 on the theme “Empowering Girls for a bright future” at Parisha Reasi. The event was chaired by District Social Welfare Officer Reasi, Sachin Sharma. Tehsildar Reasi, Suresh Singh was also present during the event.
In a significant move to empower young girls and promote a healthy lifestyle among them, DSWO Reasi interacted with the participants and encouraged them to pursue their dreams with determination and confidence.
To encourage the participation of girls in sports and enhance their well being, DSWO Reasi also distributed Sports Kits and mementos to participants.
During the celebration of the event, Children of Girls Home, Parisha performed different activities viz. Symposium, Dance, Song and Poem recitation.
A plantation drive in the name of a girl child was also organised.
Meanwhile Tehsildar Reasi, Suresh Singh addressed the participants about child rights.
Officials of the Social Welfare Department and Municipal Council Reasi were present during the event.
