Special DCC/DLRC meeting held at Bandipora.

Bandipora, October 21: A Special DLRC meeting was held on Saturday, under the chairmanship of District Development Council Chairperson Ab Gani Bhat, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad.

The meeting was attended by Lead District Manager Shamen Ahmad Haji, JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad besides other District heads of line departments and banks .

The meeting aimed to review the progress and targets of banks in terms of Jansuraksha Abhiyan scheme, KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyan, Digital penetration and the pendency of cases.

The main action points discussed in the meeting include the progress and target of each bank separately wherein few banks have performed well and the chair showed satisfaction.

However, the other banks wherein the performance was poor were directed by the DC to ensure 100% achievement in SS Schemes as the programme has been extended by GoI for the next three months.

On the occasion, the DC directed to issue debit cards, credit cards and smart cards to KCC account holders. The banks were also instructed to go for deeper penetration of digital cards like debit cards, credit cards, smart cards, POS e-banking and were directed to conduct awareness camps.

The concerned were directed to ensure that all the eligible account holders are registered on the digital platform.

The DC directed all the banks operating in the district to clear the pendencies. The banks assured the chair that 100% achievement of various targets and zero pendency of cases will be achieved at the earliest.
