BUDGAM, AUGUST 23: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Budgam, under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority, organized a Special Lok Adalat on Traffic Challans and other Civil Cases today at the District Court Complex, Budgam, as well as at the Taluka Courts of the district.
The Special Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of O.P. Bhagat, Chairman, DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Budgam and under the supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak (Civil Judge (Senior Division)/Secretary DLSA) Budgam.
In this Special Lok Adalat, each Court had identified cases beforehand, which were thereafter placed before 05 Benches constituted by DLSA Budgam for settlement.
During the Special Lok Adalat, a total of 227 Traffic Challans were taken up for amicable settlement, out of which 194 cases were settled with a settlement amount of Rs.46,540. Further, 77 civil cases were taken up, out of which 42 cases were settled.
