KISHTWAR, MAY 13: The Department of Youth Services & Sports Kishtwar today organized an impressive awareness programme under the 100 Day Campaign “Choose Sports Not Drugs” here at GHSS Girls, spreading the message of a drug-free society and encouraging youth participation in sports activities.
The programme was conducted under the directions of Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K, Anuradha Gupta and District Development Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jaffer Haider Sheikh supervised the event. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of students, besides religious Heads and school staff.
The religious heads delivered inspiring messages and highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse, while stressing the importance of moral values, discipline and developing a healthy lifestyle through sports and education.
The speakers urged students to stay away from drugs and actively contribute towards building a strong and progressive society.
The participants were also sensitized to the objectives of the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan and motivated to become ambassadors of positive change in their communities.
