BANDIPORA, MAY 21: Awareness and outreach activities under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan continued across district Bandipora on Thursday with stress management sessions, coping skills programmes, pledge ceremonies, awareness lectures, and motivational activities organised at various educational institutions.
Educational institutions including Govt High School Garoora, PM SHRI GHS Odina, HSS Quilmuqam, HSS Budoab, HSS Gadakhud, H/S Ketson, HS Panar, HSS Koragbal, PM SHRI Girls High School Sumbal, GHS Naidkhai, HS Jurniyal, and HSS Sumbal organised different awareness activities under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan action plan focusing on stress management, emotional well-being, coping skills, and prevention of substance abuse.
At Govt High School Garoora, students and staff collectively took the Nasha Mukt pledge, reaffirming their commitment towards keeping society free from the menace of drug abuse. Similar pledge ceremonies and awareness activities were conducted at several institutions across the district.
Special lectures on “Stress Management and Coping Skills” were delivered by teachers and resource persons at various schools, highlighting the importance of maintaining mental well-being, positive thinking, emotional balance, self-discipline, and healthy coping strategies to deal with stress and challenges in daily life.
Speakers also emphasised the role of awareness, patience, confidence, and constructive decision-making in preventing drug abuse among youth.
The programmes witnessed enthusiastic participation of students and staff members across the district, reflecting the continued commitment of educational institutions towards strengthening awareness and preventive outreach under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
