GANDERBAL, APRIL 04: To enhance public awareness regarding the ongoing Annual Revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll 2026, the District Administration Ganderbal today flagged off a SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) IEC Van.
The IEC vehicle was flagged-off by the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, Dr. Sheikh Salahu Ud Din, along with Deputy District Election Officer Ganderbal, Abdul Rahman.
The initiative is aimed at spreading awareness among the general public about the electoral roll revision process, including registration of new voters, correction of entries, deletion of ineligible names, and inclusion of eligible citizens in the Panchayat electoral rolls.
The IEC Van will travel across all Panchayat Halqas of the district, reaching voters at the grassroots level and informing them about the importance of participation in the electoral process and the procedures involved in the revision.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent, inclusive, and participatory revision process and urged all eligible citizens to take part and verify that their names are correctly entered in the Panchayat Electoral Roll.
