Lok Sabha Elections: 2024 GDC Pampore’s Electoral Literacy Club conducts Polling Booth Mock Drill

PULWAMA, APRIL 24: As part of the ongoing Special Voter Enrollment and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign, the Electoral Literacy Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Pampore today organized a vibrant ‘Mock Drill of Polling Booth’ with an aim to engage both staff and students in the electoral process.
The mock drill was held under the leadership of Principal Prof. Huda Galzai in the College Multipurpose Hall.
Convened by Prof. Arifat Jan, HOD of Political Science and the Club’s Convenor, the Mock Drill exemplified the college’s commitment to fostering electoral literacy and civic engagement.
Prof. Manzoor Ahmad, HOD Economics and Club Member, enthusiastically demonstrated the voting process, empowering students with practical knowledge on participation in democratic elections.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout of students and faculty, underscoring the collective enthusiasm for electoral education and democratic values.
The District Election Officer (DEO) Dr. Basharat Qayoom extended appreciation to GDC Pampore for their proactive involvement in promoting electoral awareness and participation.
