JAMMU, APRIL 12: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in collaboration with Jammu Smart City, Directorate of Tourism and Raghunath Bazar Vikas Corridor Council is all set to celebrate Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and cultural splendor at the newly developed Suryaputri Tawi River Front. The announcement was made by Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Dr Devansh Yadav during a press conference held today
Dr. Yadav informed the media that the festivities will be formally inaugurated by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha. He emphasized that this year’s celebrations aim to highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region and foster a spirit of unity among the citizens.
As part of the vibrant festivities, a traditional wrestling competition would be organized at the River Front, showcasing local talent and traditional sports. In addition, a special Aarti ceremony would be performed at the Suryaputri Tawi Ghat at 6:00 PM, adding a spiritual dimension to the celebrations.
Dr. Yadav urged all residents of Jammu to participate wholeheartedly in the event and make it a grand success. The Jammu Municipal Corporation warmly invites everyone to join in this culturally significant celebration and experience the festive spirit of Baisakhi at the Suryaputri Tawi River Front.
