POONCH FEBRUARY 01: Deputy Commissioner of Poonch Vikas Kundal, convened a meeting of the District Telecom Committee today to evaluate the current state of telecommunication services and address issues related to network connectivity and mobile tower installations in the district.
During the meeting, the SDO of BSNL Poonch provided an overview of the ongoing projects in the area, noting that six mobile tower sites have been successfully completed and are now operational, with additional sites currently under development.
The Deputy Commissioner underscored the urgency of completing the remaining installations by March and directed the SDO to facilitate E-Service at the Tehsil Office Mankote. He emphasized the critical need for tower installations in remote areas to improve connectivity, particularly in regions facing significant network challenges.
The meeting was attended by various officials, including the SSP Poonch, SE PWD(R&B), CMO, Xen JPDCL, DIO NIC, CEO Municipality, SDO BSNL Poonch, and other concerned officers.
