BANDIPORA, NOVEMBER 8: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora, Mudasir Ahmad Wani, along with the enforcement team, today conducted a surprise evening inspection from Gulshan Chowk to Nowpora Chowk in the main Bandipora market area to address the issue of frequent traffic jams, particularly during peak hours.
During the inspection, a number of traffic violators were penalized for various offences including wrong parking and obstruction of smooth vehicular movement. The enforcement team ensured strict adherence to traffic norms to streamline movement in the busy market stretch.
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Bandipora said that regular enforcement drives and surprise inspections will continue in the district to ensure minimum traffic congestion in the market areas. He also appealed to the general public, transporters, and shopkeepers to cooperate with the department and follow traffic rules to maintain smooth vehicular movement and public convenience.
