Ganderbal, Mar 20 : The residents of Gohipora Zirpora Kullan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are reeling under darkness for the past two weeks now as the transformer allotted to them in the locality has developed technical snag.
The locals told the news agency— that they have been without electricity for the past two weeks after the transformer got damaged.
“We are facing immense hardships due to the technical snag of transformer feeding the locality,” said Ab Ahad Raina, a local.
A delegation from the locality said that the PDD department is pushing them to the wall.
In case the transformer is not repaired, we will hit the streets to protest against the government, the local said.
“We appeal to Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal and Chief Engineer KPDCL to intervene into the matter,” locals said
