SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 26: Inter-Divisional UT Level Wushu Competition for Under-17 and Under-19 Girls commenced today in Shopian with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit.
The championship is being organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Shopian, bringing together talented young athletes from across various districts of the Union Territory.
The event was formally inaugurated by Mohammad Ayoub Bhat, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Shopian.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of sports in promoting discipline, confidence, fitness and unity among youth, while encouraging the participants to compete with dedication and true sportsmanship.
A large number of players from both Jammu and Kashmir divisions are participating in this prestigious championship. The opening day witnessed impressive performances and enthusiastic participation from the young athletes.
To ensure a seamless event, the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Shopian, has made all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the competition, including boarding, lodging, transportation, medical assistance, and technical support for all participants.
The championship will continue over the coming days, showcasing the talent and competitive spirit of young Wushu players from across the Union Territory.
