Voters Awareness program under SVEEP held at Langate

KUPWARA, MARCH 29: A mega Voters Awareness programs under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative was today organized at BHSS MH Pora Langate.

The awareness program was aimed to raise awareness about various voting-related activities and promote electoral literacy among citizens, especially first-time voters in the run up to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

The program was attended by Dy. CEO Kupwara, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat; Dy. SP, Principal, ZEO Mawar and Langate, District Cultural Coordinator, Cluster heads, Teachers and students from different schools, besides, officials from various departments, first time voters, community leaders and local artists, besides general public also participated in the awareness program.

On the occasion, the school children and the artists presented different colourful programmes to educate and inspire active participation in the democratic process.

Pledge taking ceremony under SVEEP was also held where participants took the pledge to vote enthusiastically in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Meanwhile, experts and various other speakers spoke and highlighted the significance of electoral literacy in empowering citizens and urged everyone, especially first-time voters, to exercise their franchise responsibly in the upcoming elections.
