KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 27: Assistant Commissioner Development Phulail Singh, in a significant step towards empowering women and promoting self-employment today inaugurated a women’s tailor training batch at the RSETI Branch Kishtwar.
The batch consists of 25 women, including 14 NREGA women workers, who are part of the Unnati project. The ACD exhorted the trainees to work towards creating a sustainable environment and congratulated them on taking the first step towards entrepreneurship. The ACD also urged them to attract more women to this field, which has vast scope for growth.
The RSETI Branch is conducting scores of other courses, providing a wide range of opportunities for women to acquire new skills and become self-sufficient.
Director Vikash Sindu welcomed the ACD and expressed gratitude for attending the inaugural session. Azra Banno will instruct the trainees during the course.
This initiative is a significant step towards promoting women’s empowerment and self-employment in the region.
