DEERS hosts quiz, slogan writing competition under special series

JAMMU, MAY 28: The Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing (DEERS) Jammu, organized a quiz competition and slogan writing competition here at Dogra Higher Secondary School, marking the commencement of a special series to celebrate World Environment Day 2024, .

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 195 students. The event was inaugurated by Sajad Ahmed Khan, Environment Soil Conservationist, DEERS, Jammu. He extended heartfelt thanks to the school administration for its cooperation and support in hosting the event.

The EIACP Hub of DEERS Jammu conducted the quiz competition. The winners will be awarded the prizes on the culmination of the series of events on 5th June on world environment day. All participants, including Principal of the school Kamlesh, School staff and DEERS-EIACP members, reaffirmed their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.

This event marked the beginning of a series of activities planned by DEERS EIACP Jammu in the lead-up to World Environment Day -2024, emphasizing the importance of collective action in combating climate change and preserving our natural resources.
