DODA, OCTOBER 01: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (YSS) organized a grand inaugural ceremony today to mark the start of Inter-District Division Level Kabaddi Tournament for U/17 Boys at the Indoor Sports Stadium Doda.
The event is being held under the direction of Director General YSS J&K, Anuradha Gupta (with the guidance of Joint Director YSS Jammu, Vinakshi Koul and supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer (DYSSO) Kishtwar, Jaffer Haider Sheikh.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Jaffer Haider Sheikh, who attended as the Chief Guest.
In his address, he applauded the sportsmanship of the young athletes and commended the department’s efforts in providing a strong platform for budding talent to showcase their skills at the divisional level. He further expressed confidence that such tournaments not only encourage healthy competition but also instill discipline and holistic growth among youth.
The opening day witnessed high-voltage Kabaddi clashes as teams from different districts competed with passion and determination.
The matches created an energetic and vibrant atmosphere inside the Indoor Sports Stadium Doda, setting the tone for an action-packed sporting extravaganza. The tournament promises to inspire young athletes and foster a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork and unity across the region.
