YSS Ganderbal hosts successful Inter-School Zonal Competitions

GANDERBAL, MAY 18: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal has conducted inter-school zonal level competitions across the district, in accordance with the planned calendar of activities.
In Zone Ganderbal, inter-school football and handball competitions for girls under-14 years were held at GCOPE Gadoora Ganderbal. The second day of the tournament saw participation from 17 teams, with students demonstrating their skills and determination despite the humid weather.
Zone Tullamulla also held a handball competition for girls under 14 years, with 70 participants showcasing their athletic abilities. Additionally, the zone conducted intramural sports competitions in football at BHSS Batwina, as well as kabaddi and kho-kho at MS Benhama, attracting a significant number of eager student participants.
In Zone Kangan a notable Kabaddi competition for girls under 14 years was organized at GHS Preng. The final match between BMS Preng and MS Chinner concluded with BMS Preng as the victor. Both the winning and runner-up teams were awarded trophies.
Similarly, Zone Hariganiwan hosted a Kabaddi event for girls under 14 years at BHSS Hariganiwan ground, with 85 participants. The top teams were honored with trophies presented.
