In compliance of District Magistrate Reasi order regarding CCTV Cameras must be installed all Hotels/Lodge, Medical Shops etc. Reasi Police conducted a surprise checking at Katra .
During inspection of Hotel & Lodge, CCTV cameras have not found in 05 lodge. In this regard, five FIRβs No. 67/2024, 68/2024, 69/2024,70/2024 & 71/2024 all U/S 188 IPC registered at P/S Katra, against lodge owners who have not installed CCTV Cameras in their premises despite notification issued by District Magistrate Reasi.
District Magistrate Reasi had directed that CCTV cameras must be installed in all Hotels/Lodge, Medical Shops etc. The whole operation is led by SHO Katra.
*Ms Mohita Sharma-IPS, SSP Reasi* while sharing the information expressed that Reasi Police is committed to protect the property of citizens & further appealed to the owner of Hotels/Lodge, Medical Shops of Reasi District to make use of technology & install CCTV cameras in their premises for surveillance on criminal elements in the society.
